The enclosing pouch is attached to the bag and it's a lot easy to fold the big bag into the pouch for disposal. The powder is enclosed in a paper packet so your hands will not run into the powder as in the competition. The power is probably not completely biodegradable, the competition is. The liquid jelling capacity is probably a few oz less than the competition but using it two times is safe, three times is marginal. For solid waste, I use it only once - My main objective is not to use the messy and smelly public toilets at beautiful campsites.The toilet seat is all important. In the ideal world, you need one sturdy toilet with an easy to wipe clean seat for seating on. Another urinal for boys. You can keep your hands completely dry with the small bags (urinals). These are probably made of the same plastic so it's biodegradable except for the all important plastic ring at the opening... I got the 3 day pack because we were going to be out there for 3 days. I used one day's worth. For a single person the 3 day pack is more than adequate.The solid waste collection bag was used for both solid and liquid and worked well. No smell at all. I paired the bag with the Travel John commode (which I love). Disposal wasn't as disgusting as I thought it would be. Twist the top of the collection bag and then pull the zipper outer bag over that, zip. Done. I put it in two shopping bags and hauled it to the nearest dumpster miles down the road with no concerns. I haven't used the urinals yet. I tossed those in the glove box of the Jeep in case we needed to use during our offroading. Great idea. Wish I had known about them years ago. The nice touch in this pack is the toilet paper and handwipes. There was plenty of both. |
