This lantern is great if saving packing space is an issue. It provides plenty of light in a small package and is easy to carry and transport. I have already used on a few quick trips this year and love the fact that I don't have to buy or replace any batteries, just hook up the fuel canister which I have for grill anyway.

I love this lantern for hiking and backpacking!
Pros: Light Small Accepts standard propane bottles Survives being in my internal frame pack Cheap!
Cons: Weird sized mantle, sometimes hard to find The ignitor dies quickly (lantern still works) Small (unfortunately this is a con too, I've lost one)
I typically don't buy Coleman as I've had bad luck with some of their products. I was pleasantly pleased with this one though. I lost the first one and bought another because I liked it so much. The ignitor is crap and dies after awhile, but you can still light it with a match. If you are a backpack camper and use propane, this is your lantern.

I went camping with my family, and this little baby did an amazing job -- especially around 2am when we heard noises outside. My wife thought it was a bear but it just turned out to be raccoons! Thanks to this little guy though, we were able to see what it was, shoo off the raccoons and get a decent night's sleep. Thanks Coleman!
