It gives just enough protection to feel cozy and protected, yet still see out. Keeps bugs out, adds a few degrees of warmth, easy to set up, very compact. I like to see the moon, and sunrise, and feel claustrophobic in a tent, so this is perfect for me. Slept really well. I debated buying it because of the extra weight, but I'm so glad I made the purchase and brought it with me! It completely encases the hammock so bugs stay out, is fairly easy to get in and out of because of the side zipper and gives you plenty of room inside the hammock. I liked to read at night before going to sleep and I would see the bugs swarming outside the net because of my headlamp, but was never bitten at night.When I first started using it, I thought I could hang stuff off the string that holds up the net between the trees, but that was a no go. It's a bit of an art to get the hammock/net/rain tent tied up in the right height and distance between trees, etc, but when you get it, it's awesome! 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful  Not bad, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Guardian Bug Net (Sports) For the price, it seems a little lackluster.Pros: Attached bag allows for easy storage. Easy to enter and exit from Very large Cons: The ends need to be tied shut to keep out the bugs. The netting touches my doublenest hammock while I am sleeping diagonally in it, allowing mosquitos to still bite through the netting. It is not a fast setup. It takes me twice as long to attach the netting as it takes to hang the hammock, so I only use it on overnighters. Lastly, the eyelets used to suspend the netting are very thin and hard to thread. Summary: If the netting included ties to pull the sides out wider, I would rate it higher. As it is now, the rubbing against the hammock when sleeping and allowing mosquitos to bite, almost defeats the purpose of using netting. |
